A morning to sleep in a bit, then the fast train back up to Madrid. We clean up a bit and head down to the Reina Sofía Museum of Modern Art to look at Picasso’s “Guernica.” After days and days of hours and hours of walking, some peoples’ feet feel like bloody stumps (that would include Marcie and Stacey). We’re all feeling just a little road-weary. Becky is leaving a day earlier than the rest of us, we’re all sorting out what we’d like to do tomorrow – our last day in Spain – and we scratch plans for a group dinner and go our own ways. We’ll eat together tomorrow night. Highlights?
The hotel staff is superb, and get Becky’s trip to the airport all taken care of (she leaves the hotel at 3:00 a.m.), we’re familiar with our neighborhood and the metro, and students’ confidence level is way up.
