This is Fantastic!
Today’s temperature is 78 degrees and a bit cloudy, but you can virtually feel that warm, soft sand trickling through your toes as you glide across the beach~~aahh~~

From De Pere, Wisconsin to Gulf Shores, Alabama the walking route total is 1,074 miles or 2,148,000 steps. Everyone should be very proud of  these accomplishments!

Macon, Mississippi

A bit of history: Founded in 1833, this area was named Taladega ( the Choctaw village of Taladega was located nearby). In 1835 the name was changed to Macon. The city was the capital for the state of Mississippi during the Civil War.

We are rambling our way further south, giving us insights to unique and beautiful areas.

And We’re Off!

This is the first week of our virtual walk, leaving today from De Pere.
