We bid a fond farewell to Austria’s majestic Alps this morning, and boarded the bus bound for Milan. The mountains were soon replaced by vineyards as far as the eye could see. We were scheduled to make a lunch stop at Lazise, but it was market day, and Hans was unable to find parking for the bus. Instead, we continued on to Pescheira, on the shore of Lago di Garda. This town was much less crowded, and we were all able to experience our first outdoor Italian lunch. We arrived in Milan early in the evening, and all scattered to find more delectable food for dinner. I’m not sure we can keep up the pace of all this eating, but we’re going to try!
