Wilten Abbey, Innsbruck, Austria – Day 5

Today we had a rainy morning ride into the majestic Alps. The transformation of the landscape was so exciting! We passed waterfalls, fresh flowing rivers and lush green vegetation. Innsbruck means bridge over the Inn River. We arrived at the Wilten Abbey in time for a very fresh, healthy, lunch of vegetable soup, salad, roasted vegetables, and tender chicken. We toured the Abbey, and then our city guide, Elizabeth, arrived. She took us to the basilica across the street, her family’s bell company, and then the center of the city. Every time she had something to point out to us, she quite fittingly rang a bell. From there we checked into our hotel, and went off for some relaxing time on our own.
