Hi, my name is Steph Birmingham and I am currently a junior at St. Norbert College. I am majoring in Political Science with a minor in Peace and Justice. My hometown is in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin where I graduated from high school in 2005. I have one younger sister who is 15 years old. While not working on class work, I keep myself quite busy in other things. I am an intern at the Peace and Justice Center on campus, the President of a student organization called Friends for Wheels and I have been involved in a variety of other things. During my freetime, I enjoy spending time with my family, swimming, cooking and watching movies with my housemates. I look forward to sharing with you the excitement of my internship and figuring out life after St. Norbert.

It's Getting Close to the End

Wow, I've just realized it's been some time since I've posted on the blog. Well, the semester is winding down and we are almost finished with classes and then finals week. I've made the decision to take a Maymester course, Biotechnology in a Global Society. Also, I've made arrangements to stay on campus this summer and work at the Survey Center and hopefully find another job. I figured that working at the Survey Center would be a smart move as I am a Political Science major. I've been talking with a lot of my friends who are Seniors and I know they are starting to get nervous about graduating. I can't blame them, soon they'll be on their own in the "real" world. Having seen them think about life after college, the best piece of advice I think I can take away from them is to start the job search early. At least I have the summer to do some more thinking...
