It's Cold!
01/28/08 at 09:25:42 amHey Everyone,
So I just got done with my first week of classes and I have to say I am really glad to be back at school. Winter break got a little long and I was really excited to see all my friends here again. I got back from my mission trip to Philadelphia just about a week ago now. It was an awesome experience. Its hard to put into words what it was like it was kind of one of those things that you had to be there yourself to understand. We helped a lot of people and got to know many of the men in the homeless shelter we were working at pretty well. It was hard to say goodbye at the end of the week. It was experience I won’t forget and I would highly recommended the trip to anyone who is interested in going on it next year.
My classes seem good so far, its only been the first week so its hard to tell yet how they will be. I am taking Philosophy, Geology, International Studies, and African History. I am looking forward to this semester, I can’t wait for it to stop being so cold though it gets to be a pain walking to classes in what seems to be below zero temperatures everyday. Well I will catch up with u guys later and tell you how the semester is going. C ya.
Holiday Season
01/07/08 at 12:58:00 pmHey Everyone! It’s been a long winter break. I am definitely ready to go back to school and get in the swing of things again. A lot of my friends from home have already gone back for interims and its pretty boring up at home. I leave this Friday to go on my mission trip to Philadelphia. I’m pretty excited about the trip and that we will get to watch the Packer game while we are there. I was a little worried that I was going to miss it, but I’ll get to watch us beat the Seahawks.
I had a great Christmas! It was really nice to see all my brothers and my grandma and Uncle and Aunt and my cousin who came up to spend the holiday with us. I got to see almost all my friends over break and was really happy about that. It was pretty fun break, but I am definitely ready to go back and see my friends at SNC.
The last week at school before break was pretty rough with finals almost everyday, but I ended up doing pretty well for my first semester at college. I got all A’s and B’s so I was happy about that. At the time all I wanted was to get home and be done with that week, but now I just can’t wait to get back.
I hope all of you had a great holiday season and I will be writing about my trip and my new classes in my next blog. Bye!
