Senior Year!
08/27/08 at 08:19:21 amHey Everyone! Wow I can not believe that I am starting my senior year of
college. It is definitely scary to think I will be graduating in May. I am
really excited for my final year, but it is really sad to think that this is
my last year at SNC.
This summer was a lot of fun. I stayed in De Pere and worked at the
admissions office until June 22nd. From there I went to Cape Cod,
Massachusetts, where my family and I have a cottage. I was there for about
three weeks. Cape Cod is my favorite place in the whole world, so to spend
three weeks there was absolutely amazing. While my family and I were there we
relaxed, swam, fished, and spent time with my dad's side of the family. I
have a lot of family who live on the East Coast, and my grandparents live in
Cape Cod. It is always the best time when I go there. My favorite time is
over the 4th of July. There is always a huge fireworks show and we grill out
and swim all day. I also love going to Boston while I am in Massachusetts.
There is so much to do, and it is so much different than any other place in
the country.
After Cape Cod I went home to College Station, Texas. My family just moved
there in June from Houston, Texas. I love College Station so much. I
actually lived there for about seven years before we moved back. I did a lot
while I was there. I worked for my dad and did some office work. I met a lot
of people my age that go to Texas A&M University where my dad, sister, and
brother in law all work. My brother also just started his freshman year
there. I spent a lot of time at the university which I love. I am hoping to
go there for grad school after I finish SNC in May. Whenever I am home I end
up spending a lot of time with my family since I don't get to see them often.
I came back to De Pere August 21st. I was really excited to come back and see
all of my friends and roommates. I am living in an off campus house that is
about a 10 minute walk to campus. It's a five bedroom house and I have
four roommates. It's really nice we all get our own room. I love living
there so far.
We just started classes yesterday at SNC and it's going good so far. I think
it will be a good but really tough semester with the classes I am taking. I
have two 400 level classes and two 300 level classes. I am taking Mass
Communication Theory, Media Law and Regulation, Global Urbanization, and
Social Inequalities. I can already tell it is going to be a lot of reading in
my four classes.
Well that's all I have for now but I will blog again soon!
