Spring Is Here!
04/18/07 at 09:53:59 amOk so where to begin? I last left you guys when I left for spring break; Panama City Beach, Florida, was so much fun!! I cannot even begin to tell you how fun it actually was! I am a junior and that was my first college spring break experience and I definitely will be doing it again next year!! I went with four other girls and we were on the 14th floor with the best view of the ocean. But that isn’t even the best part… it gets better, there were bunk beds in a closet, it was hilarious, with doors and everything. My roommate Kate and I stayed in those for the first night, after that I put the mattress on the balcony and slept out there! While we were down there we celebrated one of my other roommate Lindsay’s 21st birthday! Other events that took place on spring break…. Ryan (My boyfriend) and some of his roommates went down to Panama City as well and we played sand volleyball (that’s always fun) and we went as a group to the biggest club in the U.S. called La Vela – it has like 12 different rooms decorated in all different ways – there was the best band playing called the Poptart Monkeys, we all loved them!! It was very sad to leave the beach but it was also good to get back – driving back was the worst – at least on the way down we were all excited for the hot weather and what not – it was a rough ride for sure.
Once we got back to school I think I slept for like two days straight, it was amazing! After break we had a couple weeks and then had Easter Break (one of the perks of going to a Catholic College – you get another break!!) which is always fun, it was great to go home because I hadn’t been home in so long. The only problem was while I was home; I had a paper or something that I had to work on for each one of my classes – no fun. Then in addition to everything, Meredith (My sister) and I just got back from Hilton Head, South Carolina, yesterday. We worked for my Uncle and catered the PGA Heritage Golf Tournament from last week Thursday until this past Sunday. It was so much fun, we worked in sky boxes on the 18th hole green and it was gorgeous weather, minus Sunday. Sunday it was like a hurricane, it was so windy out, hot and sunny but like 40 mile an hour winds – it was nuts. Oh and then on top of all of that it was my roomie, Kate’s, 21st birthday last night, which was so much fun! But other than that I have just been trying to catch up on my classes and assignments yesterday and today.
I also don’t know if I mentioned it or not, but I and three of my roommates are all so excited because we got a house for next year! This also means that I will be living up in good ole De Pere this summer, which should also be a lot of fun since a bunch of people are going to be living up here as well!!! I might take a summer class but I haven’t decided yet ~ it’s leaning more to a yes – so I probably will - but who knows. Let’s see, what else...
Oh, Cheerleading tryouts are coming up a week from Sunday!!! I have missed being around the girls and Cheryl (our coach) every other day and we will all miss our little amazing dancer ABBY- LOVES HER. So anyone is thinking and or looking to tryout and if you have any questions feel free to email me – (caitlin.whitney@snc.edu) it is so much fun!!! Other than all that, it has been pretty laid back ~ well off to a group meeting, until next time…. have a great week!
