Thanksgiving Break
11/21/06 at 05:37:28 pmI am so sorry I have neglected you guys ~ I have been super busy lately, with my family, school, jobs and cheerleading. I have had so many quizzes, papers and exams in the last month that my head is spinning.
I really did not know what I was getting my self into when I planned my classes for this semester, I took a lot of difficult classes and now I am paying for it. I have Business Law, which is supposedly the hardest class offered at SNC and is a requirement for my major so I had no choice but to take it. It is difficult because you do have to go to class in order to get the notes but the really hard part are the exams. There are only three and your entire grade is based upon them, and these exams range anywhere from 100 – 175 multiple choice in addition to 2 or 3 essays – it is intense!!! Also, I have Human Resource Management, Corporate Finance, and International Mass Communications – which all have their ups and downs.
Cheerleading also takes up a lot of time but I have so much fun. I love all the girls on the squad and five of us are even going to compete in a stunting competition in early December (which really makes me nervous because I am not sure if we are ready). Otherwise, Cheerleading is fun minus the NCAA regulations that were set on cheerleaders because of the dropping of one at another school last year. That means we can’t stunt two high, which really stinks. Nonetheless, as a result we as a squad are really being creative in thinking of different ways to stunt, it’s rather fun when we don’t get frustrated.
Work is also very time consuming, I have had to plan two bus trips in the past month. They are so much fun when they get here but up to the point of arrival, actually planning them is extremely stressful. Not to mention I just started to bartend at the Abbey Bar, which is extremely exciting but now I waitress and bartend so that is another schedule I have to follow. So basically, I have been forced to learn major time management skills with all the stuff I am involved in this semester.
Well actually, I have to get going. I have to cheer for a men’s Basketball game this evening – GO KNIGHTS!!! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
