Well lets see here, my name is Caitlin Whitney I am 21 and I am from Crystal Lake, IL which is north of Chicago. I am a cheerleader on campus and a waitress at the Abbey Bar. My twin sister and I love St. Norbert we couldn't have asked for a better school to fall in our lap. The funny story is that Meredith and I came on a football-recruiting day with a buddy and to make a long story short. Mere and I dropped the other schools we were going to and fell in love with SNC!! The staff, people and community couldn't be greater when looking for a college!

Back to School

Well summer flew by and classes are now settling in. I just figured out my schedule, what with classes, work and cheerleading. It has definitely been a crazy first couple of weeks.

My classes are extremely hard this year; Human Resource Management, Business Law, International Mass Communications and Corporate Finance (a deadly line up for sure). Cheerleading, however, is going splendidly. We have 12 girls on the squad this year and we are having a blast. Unfortunately our cheerleading squad now has regulations set for basketball season, so all our fun 2 1/2 high stunts can’t be used… nonetheless we are coming up with some great 2 1/2 high stunts for football season. Another great thing is that the football team has killed everyone they’ve played. The boys are certainly going for the conference this year!!!

My room is tons of laughs, never a dull moment. I am living with 6 other girls in Michels Hall (it’s the service dorm so it has its ups and downs - as does every dorm) All the girls are a blast and we definitely have a great time together!! My personal roommate is Kate and we have a blast together!! She’s on the volleyball team here at SNC and the girls are doing spectacularly!!!

It’s nuts here for sure, everyone is trying to get back in the swing of things with all the homework, studying, papers, exams etc. And it’s starting to get cold which stinks majorly.

Well I’m heading off to Cheerleading practice, have a great week!
